Missouri Foundation for Health

To raise the profile of the Missouri Foundation for Health’s Health Policy Area with legislators, policy makers, and the general public and to help launch Cover Missouri, a project designed to develop, publish, and promote specific policy recommendations to increase the number of Missourians with health coverage.

Soapbox worked with MFH to develop, organize, and implement a communications program to promote the research and publications created by the MFH Health Policy staff. Tactics included media interviews, op-ed columns, news releases, briefings, editorial board visits, media trainings, targeted legislator communications, and the development and launch of covermissouri.org, which served as a health care information hub for members of the media, legislators, and the general public.

Over 60 Missouri media outlets, including major market television and statewide radio outlets, published positive stories about the work of the Health Policy Area of the Missouri Foundation for Health, resulting in over 2.1 million media impressions and tens of thousands of dollars in advertising equivalencies.
